A cross between a rounded sauté pan and a "Lyonnaise" fry pan, the De Buyer Mineral B Iron Country Frying Pan is great for any type of cooking: frying, searing and even slow cooking. Ideal for sautéed potatoes. It can be used to prepare large amounts of food and its high sides limit splashes when cooking meat. This pan has a long iron handle firmly fastened with rivets. With repeated seasoning, it becomes naturally non-stick the more it is used. This pan is suitable for intense heat sources, including induction, promising long term use with proper care. Not recommended for scrambled eggs, it's ideal for setting eggs and omelets. To protect against oxidation, the pan has an organic beeswax finish which also enhances the non-stick quality. Made of iron, a 100% natural mineral material, the pan is free from PTFE and PFOA. Compatible with all types of cooktops, including induction.
