It won't rust, it's non-stick, it retains heat well and distributes heat evenly. This perfect little mini cast iron skillet can efficiently work over most stove top heating elements, and is temperature rated up to 500°F/260°C. All LAVA cast iron cookware are produced with non-cancerogenic, 100% recyclable materials and comply with international standards; they are also pre-seasoned and no need to be seasoned each time you start cooking.
