Made of natural aluminium, this pan works well with parchment paper, silicone baking mats, and traditional methods using butter or shortening and flour. When roasting savoury foods such as vegetables, butter or cooking oil works well. Note that aluminium is reactive to acidic ingredients such as vinegar and tomato products; these foods may darken, pit, or corrode the pan after prolonged use. Dishwasher use is not advised, as discolouration may occur due to the cleaning agents in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discolouration is merely cosmetic and will not affect the baking properties or safety of the pan.
