When pressurized water finds a narrow path through the coffee puck, known as channelling, coffee is extracted unevenly, resulting in unbalanced flavours. For a full coffee extraction and a balanced flavour, the water needs to be spread across the entire surface of your puck evenly. The Solis IMS Perfetta Shower Screen acts as a buffer for the water making its way to the coffee puck, and it evenly diffuses the brew water from the group head over the entire coffee puck in order to avoid channelling. The diameter, distribution and amount of holes maximize the extraction of the coffee. The integrated membrane shower screen consists of a single filtering part made of stainless steel with a unique perforation design that provides a filtering capacity of 200 µm. This little disc of metal also prevents mechanical breakdown by keeping large debris from finding its way into the espresso machine. Being made out of a single part, its body is more resistant and its smooth surface prevents dirt from attaching to it. This makes the dispersion screen extremely durable and easy to clean. It is easy to install or replace and compatible with the espresso machines from the Solis Perfetta product line.
