The Atlantic Chef Forged Santoprene Handle Usuba Knife is made from German steel 1.4116, which includes carbon, chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and other elements. Through hardening, tempering, grinding, sharpening, and additional processes, the blade attains a hardness of at least HRC 56. The hand-honed razor-sharp edge ensures long-lasting sharpness, excellent edge retention, easy maintenance, and quick re-sharpening. Forged from a single piece of steel, the bolstered blade offers high stability. The handle, attached to the stainless steel with a 100% seal, is made of Santoprene for a non-slip ergonomic grip. The Usuba knife features a straight, thin blade that excels at making clean, delicate cuts, particularly with vegetables and fruits. Its single bevel provides a sharp, accurate edge ideal for slicing, dicing, and julienning.
