The Atlantic Chef Forged Premium Utility / Kitchen Knife is made from German steel 1.4116, which includes carbon, chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and other elements. Through hardening, tempering, grinding, sharpening, and additional processes, the blade attains a hardness of at least HRC 56. The hand-honed razor-sharp edge ensures long-lasting sharpness, excellent edge retention, easy maintenance, and quick re-sharpening. Forged from a single piece of steel, the bolstered blade offers high stability. The blade and handle are seamlessly joined by machinery, with a 100% seal between them. Overmolded for durability and hygiene, the POM handle is constructed with DuPont® Derlin® for high stiffness and heat resistance, preventing it from melting or warping when exposed to high temperatures during cooking. This utility / kitchen knife is ideal for slicing, dicing, and choPolypropyleneing smaller fruits and vegetables, as well as handling medium-sized tasks like cutting sandwiches or trimming meat.
