The Giesser Prime Line Bread Knife With Wavy Edge And Plastic Handle features a blade that is made from high-grade chrome molybdenum steel, and is hardened in vacuum process to 56 - 57 Rockwell hardness grade. Its matt-polished cutting edge offers optimum rust resistance. The knife is sharpened perfectly from the very beginning and the final sanding and fine honing is done by hand. The regularly grinded waves along the cutting edge allow the knife to slide through hard hides and crusts securely and without slipping. It is made from two components. The inner red core is solid and gives the handle stability, while the outer layer is made from particularly soft plastic. This ensures fatigue-free and very slip-resistant work, and the handle will always fit well in the hand. The plastic handle is safe for food contact. Although the knife is dishwasher-proof, manual cleaning is recommended to protect the cutting edge.
